How do I configure API keys?

Managing API keys

API keys are required in order to for you to submit content to scanii for processing, this guide will help you create and configure those keys.

Creating your first key

  1. Log into your scanii.com account and go to the key settings page https://scanii.com/account/settings/keys
  2. Click "Create brand new key" (please note that key changes take a couple of minutes to replicate across the globe)

Enabling and disabling content detection engines

Scanii allows you to manage the content detection engines enabled as well as view statistics on a per key basis. To manage your keys follow the steps below.

  1. Log into your scanii.com account and go to the key settings page https://scanii.com/account/settings/keys
  2. Select they key you would like to manage and click "View details"
  3. Click On/Off for the individual engines according to your desired detection goals
  4. Click "Apply these settings" (please note that key changes take a couple of minutes to replicate across the globe)

Protip: The file processing logs available in your dashboard will track the exact content engines enabled for every file processed
